NIASW to hold local Western Trust meetings
The Northern Ireland Association of Social Workers (NIASW) is holding a series of informal meetings with social workers from adult and mental health services across the Western Trust.
The move follows positive talks between Carolyn Ewart, NIASW country manager, and the director and assistant director of social work in the Trust.
The series of local meetings mark the beginning of a NIASW campaign to stand up for social workers and represent their concerns.
NIASW wants to meet frontline staff in an informal setting to discuss key professional issues and to explore how NIASW can support practitioners by raising concerns with employers.
