One Year Anniversary of October 7 Attacks
Today, a year on, we remember the victims of the terrible 7th October Hamas terrorist attack, the loss of lives and capture of civilians, and we again call for Israeli hostages to be released. We are thinking of the pain of families of victims, including those waiting for news and release of hostages.
Our thoughts also remain with all the Palestinian and Israeli people who are impacted by the violence and destruction that is ongoing in Gaza and increasing across the region. We continue to call for a ceasefire and international diplomatic efforts towards long-term peace and security.
As social workers, we work for peace and dialogue between all communities in the UK and internationally and stand in solidarity with those impacted by the rise in Antisemitism and Islamophobia in the UK in the wake of the escalating violence in the Middle East.
