Alison and Sarah met with Safe & Together ™ and The Improvement Service to look at how we can support implementation of the Safe & Together ™ Model.
Carolyn Ewart, BASW Northern Ireland Director, met with us and Social Work Scotland to share reflections on health and social care in Northern Ireland.
Sarah attended the Children & Families Covid 19 Collective Leadership – Domestic Abuse Sub Group.
We met Trish McCulloch from Dundee University about the report on early career social workers which is the 4th year in a five-year longitudinal research programme here. We will be looking at how to use the research to improve working conditions and support particularly for newly qualified social workers.
Leadership in social work was discussed at a meeting with Scottish Government, OCSWA and Social Work Scotland. The need to develop our leaders, future leaders and enable leadership at all levels in our profession was recognised as key in asserting a strong and effect profession serving people who need us.

We kicked off a working group for our SASW Conference which will be sometime week commencing 30th August. Plans also progressed for an NHS event we are involved in in June.
We have rescheduled our 2nd cohort of Safe & Together training – it will now start on 1st June.
