Manifesto - Share your views
The Scottish Parliamentary Elections are due to take place on Thursday the 6th of May 2021. SASW have produced a draft Manifesto for Social Work and are calling on political parties to commit to addressing 3 priorities if elected: Human Rights, Poverty and Listening to the Voices and Experiences of Social Workers. We are seeking the views of members on this draft, before we launch it on the 16th of March 2021 - World Social Work Day. If you wish to comment on any aspect of the Manifesto, please contact Emily on emily.galloway@basw.co.uk before 6pm on Sunday the 14th of February.

Hustings - Save the date - 22nd March
On the 22nd of March, we are hosting a virtual Scottish Parliament Hustings Event, which will serve as an opportunity for members to put questions to MSPs on their priorities for the future of social work. We have candidates from 4 of the 5 main parties attending. Spaces will be limited - so please save the date and keep an eye out for information on how to register and how to submit a question in the coming weeks.
