The condolences and thoughts of everyone at BASW and SWU continue to be with the bereaved families of Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, the injured and all of those affected by the devastating events in Southport on Monday, 29 July.

We thank social workers and our emergency services who have shown remarkable courage, care, and professionalism in responding to these horrific events. We know that social workers will continue to be involved in these efforts, directly supporting individuals and families affected.
