The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Children, working with the National Children’s Bureau, are presenting this high-profile event on children’s social care reform.
This in-person event will be held in Westminster, London on Tuesday 8th November 2022 between 3-5pm.
The Independent Review of Children’s Social Care
John McGowan, SWU General Secretary, said, “I am looking forward to representing SWU at this meeting and hearing from the leading experts in the children’s sector. This event will bring together government Ministers, key players from the Independent Review, senior officials, prominent MPs and Lords, the top academics in the field and leaders from the children’s sector.”
Young people and parents with experience of children’s social care will play a central role in proceedings.
The Independent Review of Children’s Social Care has given us a once in a generation opportunity to improve the lives of children, and the theme of this event will be strengthening families and re-balancing the system towards early intervention. As we move towards publication of the government’s implementation strategy, it is crucial that we maintain momentum for change.
