UN Anti-Racism Day National Demonstration - Saturday 19 March 2016
BASW and SWU are calling all members to join the Europe-wide UN Anti-Racism Day Demonstration.
On Saturday 19 March tens of thousands will march across Britain, with major mobilisations in England, Scotland and Wales joining thousands in cities across Europe and around the world to say no to racism.
We want our members to respond collectively by standing in solidarity against the appalling treatment of refugees across Europe, attempts to divide our communities and the rise in anti-Muslim hate crimes. BASW and SWU want to send the positive message that social workers say: “Refugees are welcome here,” and, “Yes to diversity!”
