Call to action: Write to the Chancellor about our anti-poverty campaign

BASW is encouraging members to write to the Chancellor and local MP about BASW UK’s anti-poverty campaign so that the UK Government cannot ignore our calls for action to be taken on poverty.

We've created a template letter which can be downloaded on the left hand side of this page. Copy and paste this template into an email, include your name and address, and email it to CEU.Enquiries@hmtreasury.gov.uk

Once you’ve done that, consider also sending to your own MP. Copy and paste the template, insert your name and address (as they want to make sure you’re a constituent of theirs). Find your MP and their email address here.

If you get a reply from your MP or the Chancellor, please forward it to kerri.prince@basw.co.uk so that we can keep track of which MPs are supporting our asks.
