BASW has responded to the tragic attacks in Sri Lanka by offering our condolences to the Sri Lanka Association of Professional Social Workers (SLAPSW).
A joint statement between BASW CEO Dr Ruth Allen and the two Chief Social Workers for England, Lyn Romeo and Isabelle Trowler, has been released which describes the relationship between the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Children and Families and Adults (KSS)
BASW Cymru National Director Allison Hulmes, joined hundreds of marchers in Cardiff yesterday, in support of the Kurdish strikers world-wide, and Imam Sis in particular.
BASW Cymru’s 9th Social Work Awards were held on the 20th March at the Iconic Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay. The awards were sponsored by Leanne Wood, AM for the Rhondda and was attended by several Assembly Members, including Julie Morgan, Deputy Minister for Social Services.
